Ms. Moneka Coats, Principal

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Moneka Coats back to Stafford County as the Principal of H.H. Poole Middle School, Home of the Mustangs. A proud Brooke Point High School graduate, Ms. Coats brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our community.
She has served in several leadership capacities including her role as an Assistant Principal at Bull Run Middle School in Prince William County and at Stafford Middle School. With two decades in the classroom, primarily at the middle school level, and experience as an administrative intern in Prince William, Ms. Coats is well-prepared to lead H.H. Poole Middle School.
Ms. Coats holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a graduate certificate in Educational Leadership from Longwood University. She also earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Averett University. Her strong educational background, combined with her commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering learning environment, makes her an exceptional leader for our school.

Ms. Stephanie Fitzgerald, Assistant Principal

H.H. Poole Middle School is excited to welcome Ms. Stephanie Fitzgerald as our new Assistant Principal. A dedicated educator and passionate servant leader, Ms. Fitzgerald returns to Stafford County with a strong background in middle school education and leadership. She previously taught middle school math in Stafford for eight years before spending the past four years in Prince William County, where she served as both a math teacher and an administrative intern.
Ms. Fitzgerald brings a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit to H.H. Poole. She is deeply committed to fostering strong partnerships with staff, students, families, and the community to support the continued success of our school. Her leadership aligns with the mission, vision, and core values of Stafford County Public Schools.
She holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Longwood University and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. We are proud to welcome Ms. Fitzgerald back to Team Stafford and look forward to the impact she will make at H.H. Poole Middle School.
Ms. Jessica Martinez, Assistant Principal

H.H. Poole Middle School is proud to welcome Ms. Jessica Martinez as our new Assistant Principal. Ms. Martinez joins Stafford County Public Schools from Spotsylvania County, where she served as a secondary Spanish teacher, a middle school art teacher for 10 years, and most recently as an administrative intern. A dedicated educator since 2001, she began her career as an ESOL teacher and was honored as Spotsylvania’s New Teacher of the Year early in her career.
Ms. Martinez is a collaborative and student-centered leader who is passionate about building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. She is known for her ability to inspire creativity, self-confidence, and motivation in her students—qualities that align beautifully with the supportive and innovative culture of H.H. Poole.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Old Dominion University. We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Martinez to the Mustang family and look forward to the enthusiasm and experience she brings to our school community.
